Frequently Asked Questions

The field of press release outsourcing is still a fairly new industry and questions sometimes arise. This section was created to help you get answers to some of the questions you may have. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions, with the answers we think will help you.

If you have a question that is not answered here, feel free to contact us and we will gladly answer all your questions.

This section was especially created to help you get answers to most of the questions you may have.

Will Press Broadcast publish or have our press release posted on certain press release sites or send them to different wire services?

No. Press Broadcast.ca is a professional press release organization, and our two most important priorities is to offer you the best press release, and at the lowest cost for your company.

If we had to publish or to send your press release to these various agencies, our services would cost three to five times what we are charging our clients now.

Once we have uploaded your press release to our powerful Linux servers, we will host your press release for 6 months- even longer if you need it (for a small added fee beginning after the sixth month). Once we have completed your press release, we will email you a link where it is permanently hosted on our servers. In that way, your press release is always accessible all over the world, anywhere there is a standard Internet connection.

You can easily post that link on your website, on your intranet or extranet, your B2B portal, your emails, your brochures or annual report or just about anywhere you want. It's as simple as that.

Is press release outsourcing a new thing or do you think it is here to stay?

With today's busy economic climate, and with the rising popularity of the Web everywhere in business, government and industry, we seriously believe that press release outsourcing is here to stay, and it can only increase even more.

We predict that press release outsourcing will be a multi-billion dollar business in 2007 and going forward. The time to do it is now. Outsourcing has never been as popular as it is now and all indicators point to a trend that can only continue to increase.

Why can't we write our own press release? Is it so complicated?

You can write your own press release yourself. However, our experience tells us that companies today are either too preoccupied, don't have the necessary skills to do it right, lack the proper equipment or simply just don't want to bother with something they aren't too familiar with.

Additionally, writing your press release isn't your only consideration. Once it has been written in a word processing program such as Word, it then has to be formatted into HTML. On the Internet, HTML is the standard format that all Web servers can process and understand. Many people today have very little knowledge of how to write in HTML or don't know the basics.

Once that is all done, you still need to know how to upload your press release to the Internet, and you will also need to acquire an FTP program to do it. Since most companies don't have their own Web servers, on top of all that, you will need to have your press release hosted on a fast and reliable server.

Press Broadcast.ca does all that, from start to finish. Once we have uploaded your press release to our powerful Linux servers, we will host your press release for 6 months- even longer if you need it (for a small added fee beginning after the sixth month).

How much does a press release cost?

Our simplest and basic press release package is called Press Release Starter™ and begins at a low cost of only $ 169. For that price, you get:

       Copy editing and proofreading
4 paragraphs of text (180 words)
Uploading to our fast Linux servers
Formatting your press release into HTML
Hosting of your press release for 6 months
Backups of your press release done everyday
Individual link supplied with all press releases

What are the advantages of using press releases? Will my business benefit from it?

Your business will definitely benefit greatly from press releases. The advantages and the many features of a well-written press release are numerous and will largely improve your corporate image, while at the same time, it will help to better communicate with members of the press, public shareholders, journalists, your clients, prospective customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, etc.

When we decide to order our press release from Press Broadcast, how does it work?

Once your press release is complete, we will send you a link that you can include in your emails, place on your website, send to members of the press or journalists, or send to prospects and clients. You can also place your link in any of your print advertising. Some of our clients place them on their intranets, extranets and B2B trading platforms. The possibilities are endless.

If you are a public company, we strongly suggest you prominently place your press release links in the Investor Relations on your website and also on your quarterly and annual reports.

How long does it take to get our press release live on the Web?

As soon as we get a sample of your message and once you have paid for it and approved it, it can be completed and published on the Web the same day, provided you have ordered and approved it before 11.00 AM (EST), Monday thru Friday. Any press releases ordered after 11.00 AM cannot be guaranteed same-day delivery, and in most cases will be published the next business day.

We then send you a link where it can be accessed from anywhere on the Web. All you need is a standard Internet connection and any Web browser.

Does Pressbroadcast.ca write press releases in the traditional print fashion?

No. Pressbroadcast.ca is an Internet publishing organization and everything we do is made for the Web. That is why we host your press releases on our own servers and then we send you a link to access your press releases. The way we do it is a lot faster, simpler and it costs only a fraction of what companies used to pay for a traditional press release.

What's the best way to get started?

That's easy! Just choose from our four most popular press release models and simply follow the detailed instructions on your screen. Most companies order their press releases online, using our simple and secure credit card ordering system.

We are a large company and we want to purchase many press releases, spread over many months. Do we get volume discounts?

Yes. Companies that purchase more than 5 press releases in the same quarter can get quantity discounts that range between 5 to 10%. For companies that purchase more than 20 press releases in the same quarter, they are entitled to a 20% discount on their purchases.

Why are you including the hosting of the press releases? Can't we host them with the same company that hosts our website?

Yes, you certainly can and we don't have any problem with that. However, we include hosting on all our plans for up to a period of six months, simply because there are companies that still don't have a website, and the ones that do, often don't have the tools, the skills or the time to properly upload them to their servers.

Pressbroadcast.ca is a complete turnkey outsourcing firm that writes, edits, proofreads, formats in HTML, uploads and provide hosting for all of its press releases on its own servers. You thus save time, money, frustration and, most of all, you can really and better concentrate on YOUR business.

What happens if we need to have our press releases live for a longer period than 6 months?

No problem. Pressbroadcast.ca can offer you additional months of hosting on our servers for only $ 2.00 a month per press release, based on a 12-month period.
